Since Transylvania county only has the Co-Ed Cinemas with one screen, cash only and 4 showtimes per day, Jane and I decided to drive into Asheville to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. We decided to take the Blue Ridge Parkway and in doing so, we were greeted with amazing views of the path to Asheville, as opposed to highways and interstates.
Carmike Cinemas in Asheville was awesome. Fully digital and high quality. The 5th Harry Potter movie was amazing and excited the fan in me… having only an average interest in the boy wizard before, I now am listening to the audio books of the 6th and 7th books respectively. Prior to this, I had read the 1st and 2nd books in less than 24 hours. The 3rd book disappointed me a little, the 4th book was a amazing… and when I got to the 5th book I just got too busy to read it. But now I’m hooked.
After the movie, Jane and I went to downtown Asheville for a small dinner at Flying Frog Deli and then yet another movie, Once. This is one of the best movies about music that I’ve ever seen. Once didn’t use any cheap and clichéd plot devices to tell a tender and heartwarming story about the feelings that arise between musicians.
And speaking of music, I’m looking forward to Floydfest in 2 weekends! Yeah!
Now that you mention it, that is a big ridge
satiate our hunger. I had a Black Bean Burger which was outstanding!
What an amazing place for brunch.
Floydfest… coming soon.
I am overjoyed to hear that you are finally going to finish the HP series. You will be glad you did. You know, I actually go Nathan reading the books now 🙂
