One Picture a Day

This is one of the best “One Picture Every Day” videos ever,

Today was full of surprises.

I started the day so hungry I decided to cook bacon and eggs… as I poured some water on the pan I had used to cook everything in, a huge wad of smoke billowed into the fire alarm drawing the surprise of my (fortunately already awake) roommates.

I then hurried off to class where I was told that everyone was doing terribly and we’d be learning how to manipulate signals and systems at the rate equivalent to a 3 legged tortoise. Ah yes, 11:00… a good amount of free time to get stuff done in the office and oh… wait.. Ben just called telling me there was an emergency meeting because of serious problems with the campus-wide exam schedule. The meeting started @ 11 and we got out @ 3:15, just in time for my 3:30 class.

After my 3:30 class I stumbled back to my apartment, arriving about 5. I had a terrible headache but I had to get my lab report done anyways, so after I did it, I brought some hamburger helper over to Jane’s and then I fell asleep on her couch. She gave me some Tylenol and placed a blanket over me.

I woke up @ 7:15, she had made the hamburger helper and we had to scarf it down because the flute choir performed @ 8 and they don’t let in people after the start. We were a few mins late and the ushers let us in during a short break between pieces.

When I arrived back in my apartment about 10, Jordan Van Dyne told me that UNC Charlotte’s police chief who we’ve been working with apparently posed for Playboy back in 1981 and now its a big scandal and stuff… oy vey!

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow has to offer, maybe I’ll get a chance to post up my recap of thanksgiving sometime too?

A clown on steroids might look like this… he sure is full of surprises!

Recently my apartment complex has dropped the axe on Torrent downloads. They have started blocking the downloads of .torrent files and blocking BitTorrent files. Well if you use the header encryption setting on uTorrent you can still download using the BitTorrent protocol, but I still can’t find a way to download the Torrent files. Recently Demonoid.com has implemented a way to download all their torrents as a .txt file which allows you to bypass any kind of filter on .torrent extensions. I was wondering if anyone knows of a service that allows you to download any file type as a .txt?

The Most Amazing Ending Ever

As with all of my Weird Music Coincidences, I detail something weird that went on in my life as it related to music without any exaggeration or fudging of the facts. But, I digress, now I will tell you of my journey back from Jane’s Families’ House on Thanksgiving Day (i.e. Thursday the 23rd).

As I was about to leave Jane’s driveway, I decided to put in a CD to listen to through my car stereo. My CD burner had been broken for almost a year at this point so I hadn’t burned a new CD in quite sometime and all of my purchased CDs were in my apartment. So I grabbed a CD in the darkness (it was about 9:30pm) and I put it in. The music started as soon as I left the driveway and I immediately realized that I had put in Coldplay’s X&Y album. I had long since tired of this album but I sung along to the tunes anyways as I drove home.

I was wondering if my drive home would be longer than the CDs length but I kept driving and the CD kept going. Eventually the bonus track came on and I was almost home. I was thinking how cool it was that I could listen to the CD the whole time. As I pulled into the driveway I realized the song was almost over until I arrived directly in front of my home door and then the last song ended at exactly the point when I reached up to turn off my car key. How cool was that?!

Apparently the CD run time is 63:01 and that is the exact time it took me to drive the distance… very cool.

The perfect CD to drive from Kernersville to China Grove with

The many nuances of life have deterred me from being able to post the final conclusions to my week long bout of absence from my electric razor, but now that time constraints have eased up during my Thanksgiving break from classes, I will now post the final images of my adventure. To ease your speculative tensions, I have won the bet and I was able to refrain from shaving for an entire week.

This is me on Day 6 of the shave bet, I’m getting ready to see the Panthers take on the Buccaneers in about 45 mins. thanks to Zach Simmons and his last minute tickets

Here I am right before I shaved, on Day Seven of the Bet, I called Jane and she confirmed I had won

I have concluded that I didn’t like having a beard. It was scratchy and oily and even when I washed it frequently it still felt oily to me. I do not look good with a mustache and although I looked ok, it still wasn’t a look I was in favor of.

The side of my face in its unshaven glory
